The city will continue to offer two "dumpster weekends" per year for residents to drop off waste at a city facility.  Those scheduled dates are April 12-13 & October 11-12.  Please contact the city of Lenexa or visit their website for questions regarding these dates and any specific requirements.

Johnson County is changing the way yard waste is picked up beginning January 1, 2012.  Yard waste bags will have to be biodegradable; (available at most local hardware and retail stores) no yard waste will be picked up in plastic bags.   Along with the new county changes some cities are making changes to the way we provide our services to you.

Lenexa:  The city has made it mandatory that all three services (trash, recycle, and yard waste) must be bundled for your quarterly service.  All services will be picked up on the same day in three separate trucks.  Should you choose not to participate in one; it will still be part of your quarterly rate.  No exceptions can be made.  In addition to this change the city is requiring us to provide solid waste and recycling containers equipped with lids to all our residential customers by July 1, 2012.  For more information visit:   http://www.lenexa.com/muniserv/solid_waste_regulations.html.
