As of January 1, 2012 yard waste bags will have to be biodegradable (available at most local hardware and retail stores). No yard waste will be picked up in plastic bags or loose in barrels.

Lenexa
The city has made it mandatory that all three services (trash, recycle, and yard waste) must be bundled for your quarterly service.  All services will be picked up on the same day in three separate trucks.  Should you choose not to participate in one; it will still be part of your quarterly rate.  No exceptions can be made.  In addition to this change the city is requiring us to provide solid waste and recycling carts equipped with lids to all our residential customers.

For more information visit:  lenexa.com/muniserv/pdfs/solid_waste_2011.pdf

All waste and recycle must be placed curbside by 7:00 a.m.
